Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas popularly known in the media as Ashanti was born on October 13, 1980 in Glen Cove New York United States. She is an actress and a performer from in the United States. Ashanti is a teen singer-songwriter and actor from the US is signed with Murder Inc. Records to release a single in 2002. In the same year she appeared in The Fat Joe's What's Luv?
